{"id":4,"date":"2011-09-20T08:45:26","date_gmt":"2011-09-20T08:45:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/galinzhelyazkov.com\/?p=4"},"modified":"2015-10-23T19:06:08","modified_gmt":"2015-10-23T17:06:08","slug":"agile-supply-chain-zaras-case-study-analysis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/galinzhelyazkov.com\/?p=4","title":{"rendered":"Agile Supply Chain: Zara&#8217;s case study analysis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Purpose<\/strong> \u2013 The purpose of this paper is to assess and document the key aspects in Zara&#8217;s success by identifing current gaps, and to provide direction for future research efforts.<br \/>\n<strong>Design\/methodology\/approach<\/strong> \u2013 Zara&#8217;s case studies and literature published from 2001 to 2010 was reviewed.<br \/>\n<strong>Findings<\/strong> \u2013 The review summarizes significant aspects of Zara success, many of which at least partially addressed in previous research.<br \/>\n<strong>Research limitations\/implications<\/strong> \u2013 This effort is not an exhaustive review of all research published for Zara. This review does not consider unpublished papers, papers in non-academic journals, or papers presented at conferences.<br \/>\n<strong>Practical implications<\/strong> \u2013 This review is a useful resource for supply chain researchers interested in agile supply chain and retailers willing to learn the key aspects of Zara&#8217;s success in agile supply chain.<br \/>\n<strong>Originality\/value<\/strong> \u2013 This paper uses the findings of other researchers as a measure of the achievements of Zara against academic theory.
