Many entrepreneurs make the mistake to enter a business domain they don&#8217;t really know well or understand, just because the opportunity promise to be big or because the idea seems promising. However, the good practice shows that when an entrepreneur knows his\/her\u00a0strengths it is easier to select ideas and opportunities to explore.<\/p>\n<p>The personal SWOT \u00a0analysis is an useful tool that help people to realize their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and treats.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mindtools.com\/pages\/article\/newTMC_05_1.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Mindtools <\/a>here are the questions you should answer under each section:<\/p>\n<h3>Strengths<\/h3>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>What advantages do you have that others don&#8217;t have (for example, skills, certifications, education, or connections)?<\/li>\n<li>What is your passion and you do it better than anyone else?<\/li>\n<li>What personal resources can you access?<\/li>\n<li>What do other people (and your boss, in particular) see as your strengths?<\/li>\n<li>Which of your achievements are you most proud of?<\/li>\n<li>What values do you believe in that others fail to exhibit?<\/li>\n<li>Are you part of a network that no one else is involved in? If so, what connections do you have with influential people?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Weaknesses<\/h3>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>What tasks do you usually avoid because you don&#8217;t feel confident doing them?<\/li>\n<li>What will the people around you see as your weaknesses?<\/li>\n<li>Are you completely confident in your education and skills training? If not, where are you weakest?<\/li>\n<li>What are your negative work habits (for example, are you often late, are you disorganized, do you have a short temper, or are you poor at handling stress)?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have personality traits that hold you back in your field? For instance, if you have to conduct meetings on a regular basis, a fear of public speaking would be a major weakness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Opportunities<\/h3>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>What new technology can help you? Or can you get help from others or from people via the Internet?<\/li>\n<li>Is your industry growing? If so, how can you take advantage of the current market?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have a network of strategic contacts to help you, or offer good advice?<\/li>\n<li>What trends (management or otherwise) do you see in your company, and how can you take advantage of them?<\/li>\n<li>Are any of your competitors failing to do something important? If so, can you take advantage of their mistakes?<\/li>\n<li>Is there a need in your company or industry that no one is filling?<\/li>\n<li>Do your customers or vendors complain about something in your company?
